Here's a way to help your friends, family and parishioners
focus on faith, particularly if you live in a large
metropolitan area.  Create a simple calendar that lists all of
the activities in the area that relate to evangelization and/or
programs to help deepen one's faith. For instance, the
surveys passed out at Fr. Barron's Fall talks to the business
and professional community in Chicago, indicated that
there were a significant number of Catholics who lived or
worked in the Loop that were interested in spiritual
programming in the Loop.  I gathered information on the
already existing programs and consolidated them onto one
calendar and distributed them to my friends.

It was easy to make.  I just inserted a table into a Word
document and used the clip art under the "Insert" button
on the toolbar to add some  pictures.  My friends really
appreciated the reminder that Ash Wednesday was around
    the corner.

If you don't have a lot of activities going on in your area,
you might supplement it with interesting programs on
EWTN or Relevant Radio that they might otherwise miss.

Pilgrimage to Italy:
October 14-25, 2007
with Fr. Paul Stein
Last year I went to Spain with Fr. Michael Sparrough and
Fr. John Ferrone
 Charis Ministries to experience the
places familiar to St. Ignatious and my favorite saint,
Teresa de Avila.  This year, I'll be headed to Italy. If you
want to join me, better get signed up soon.  It should be
fun.

I have to say, though, that my best pilgrimage was a few
years ago with my cousin Michael. It was 13 bishops, 12
priests and a blonde... That was an awesome trip.
